One
can observe that there are adverse planetary positions making
the chart intrinsically weak and amenable to unceremonious
fall. There are no major raja yoga's worth mentioning to
change the complexion of the chart in any manner. Under
the circumstances, one has to conclude that the prominence
obtained by the Congress is only a temporary phenomenon
due to the incapacity of the adversary for the time being
and the chart gives it only a breathing time.
A sort
of coup indulged in by vested interests within the congress
party cannot be ruled out in Jupiter- Venus ( January-February
2005).
The Jupiter dasa- rahu bhukti ( 20-3-2005 to 2-5-2005) appears
to be adverse for the party in power. Further the budget
session of parliament coincides with the above period making
it a politically significant period for the BJP and congress
positively and negatively respectively, particularly in
view of Saturn's retrogression.
The
period between 20-6-2005 to 17-2-2006 would be politically
very significant particularly since transit mars covers
the 7th house of coalition and 8th house of longevity in
the swearing -in chart. Normally such unusual transits lead
to fall form power of the person or party in power and a
change in the governmental set up causing fatal disturbance.
Mars ruling the south indicates a major role for parties
and people from the south in this political crisis. Saturn's
transit into punarvasu 3rd pada and his subsequent entry
into cancer have always led to political upheavals for India.
As such a change in the guardians of governance awaits Indian
politics in which some of the veterans may be dispensed
with marking thereby new era in India.
Transit
Saturn in cancer in 2005-06 may cause internal problems
besides political developments that may have far reaching
consequences for the country and its rulers as it happened
during the emergency in 1975-77. A war or war-like situation
and increase in terrorism at the instance of forces within
and/or without cannot be ruled out. Since the above transit
always favours more the opposition than the governing party,
besides causing havoc in internal governance, political
and financial crises, out political masters at the helm
of affairs are advised to take note of these warnings seriously.

Jupiter,
a functional malefic in chart 1, is under heavy affliction
with its lord being placed too close to Mars. The frequent
appeasement by the congress party of the coalition members
at the cost of the party's growth may lead to dissidence
much to the discomfiture and credibility of the party's
growth. This would be more pronounced in Jupiter dasa commencing
from September 2004 and particularly in mercury bhukti (December
2004).
The situation of planets does not rule out an official or
unofficial split in the ruling party or defeat on account
of cross-voting causing embarrassment of the coalition.
Bharatiya
janata party
For
the BJP one can expect tactical alliance, both official
and unofficial, between the Congress and the BJP as far
as globalization and free economic policies are concerned
and it would be much to the annoyance of communists and
other coalition members. The BJP would be the party-in-waiting
for power particularly since it would be getting rid of
8th house Saturn and favored with 11th house of Jupiter.
The above feature and the placement of ascendant lord of
the BJP partly succeed in bringing some of its lost allies
back to its flock again(2005).
